Frank Beaton and the Fort St. John Fur Trade

Entry Date: 1910-04-22
Content: WTL Dear I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letters of 5th + 7th of Februrary which I received on the later part of March and I had no oportunity to answer them until now I am glad to see by your letter of 9th February that fur prices are still good. I Hope that this Post will make a good profit this year. Fur has not turned out as numerous as I expected they would be. But Beaver will help out I dont expect to be able to ship the Fur before the second trip of the Steamer as the Indian are away north after Beaver and it will be late before they get back I have heard nothing from H Hope since the later part of March the trade of that Post was very poor up to that date but I expect to Beaver will help out. I have made no argument with regard to hiring Taylor as I wish to see how his trade turns out first
