Content: WTL. Dear sir I beg to acknowledge the reciept of you letters of 13th and 14th + 20 December which I received a few days ago also the Balance sheet + trading account. I am glad to say see that this post made a profit last outfit but I expected that our profit would have been much better. I hope it will be much better this outfit. I inclose here in the Monthly + cash statements also statement of Indian Depts and the list of fur traded with Hudsons Hope post. I returned from a trip to Hudsons hope on the 20th of this Month. You will see by the list of furs that Taylor has done has made a very poor trade in fact not enough to pay anyone Beaver shipment + Mr Fields returned
