Content: W.T. L. Dear sir I inclose here in the monthly stamtent for the month ending dec 31st which I hope you will find correct I am sorry to say that you will see by the statement my trade here is much less then last year at this time. The majority of the Indians has not been in and will not be before March the fur I have got is what I have survived but around here from a few indians scattered on the River I have had no report from H. Hope since I was up their in October I think Taylor will be able to get to hold his own with the traders through they are trying to make things pretty Hot around here opposition here are running around trying their very best but mr Hitch? who used to be here is clerk for the traders here this winter and is trying his best against us
