Saturday's Journal, publishing a picture of Freddie who wanted to start school like other six-year-old boys was hardly of the press when seven or eight officers to act as guide and guardian for the trip were received by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind which is looking after Freddie. The nearest school which the boy could attend is at Vancouver. S.E. Dean Vancouver business man now in Edmonton and leaving for Vancouver Wednesday was among those offering and others included Edmonton men going to Vancouver shortly. Mr. Birks was leaving right away and his offer was accepted. So it was no trick at all getting big-hearted men to help the little blind boy.
