Comment: Andrew Flett my gggrandfather worked for HBC in McKenzie district for 35 years. He seved under Robert Campbell. Andrew was given permission to marry Jane Gaucher in 1851. Janes father was referred to as La Gauche, he was a respected hunter and a long time aquaintance of Robert Campbell. In Sept. 1852 Andrew and Jane had their first child, John. Two years later daughter Jane was born in March of 1854. Andrews wife died sometime after the infamous " Chilcat Raid". Andrew then married Mary the daughter of Robert Campbell, they had many more children. Upon retirement Andrew moved the family to Red Deer Hill in Saskatchewan. HBC officer Andrew Flett died in 1889 in Prince Albert, SK. John, the oldest, was my ggrandfather, I have completed the geneaology of this family... with the exception of one persons last name being a mystery. Nora Lande
